Sunrise Cycle
A perfect class for early risers! Get a great workout in before your work day begins. 45 minute CardioCycling and 15 minutes ab work. For all levels.
Morning Cycle
A full hour of Cardio Interval Training. For all levels.
CardioCycling - Interval
Join us for intervals of high and low intensity cycling. You control the pace while getting the workout of your life! Please check the schedule as some Cardiocycling classes end the cardio section early to focus on the abdominals.
CardioCycling for Endurance
The key word is ENDURANCE! This 90-minute class will test your will and your stamina...are you up for the challenge? ($8 drop-in fee)
Lunch Sculpt Express/Body Sculpting
This intense, fast-paced class targets every muscle in the body! Using the Bosu, weights, fit balls, medicine balls, body bars, and the Step, this class is designed for people who want motivation and have a lot of energy!
NIA
Through expressive movement, Nia is a body-mind-spirit fitness and lifestyle practice that fuses Eastern and Western modalities: dance arts, healing arts and martial arts. Each Nia class promises a unique experience for your body, mind, emotions and spirit. Great for any fitness level.
Bosu Workout
A fabulous class incorporating a funky prop called the BOSU. Flat on one side, domed on the other, BOSU or Both Sides Up will be used for a high energy cardio/strength/core/balance class that will leave you maybe breathless and definately exhilarated! For all fitness levels.
Kickboxing
Kickboxing is back! Come join us for a rocking cardio class that will challenge your body and celebrate high intensity! For all levels.
Iyengar Yoga
Achieve greater balance, strength, and flexibility by practicing some beginning poses in the Iyengar tradition, focusing on precision and alignment.
Hatha Flow Yoga
A class of challanging and dynamic postures incorporating breath with movement to open and strengthen the body and mind. All levels welcome. ($8 drop-in fee
Gentle Yoga
Enhance your quality of life and well being. Drawing from a variety of styles, you will be introduced to the complexities of yoga in a gentle way. Appropriate for seniors, those with physical challenges or injuries, and those new to yoga.
Kripalu Yoga
Hatha yoga poses that are practiced mindfully with an awareness of breath and movement, allowing a release of tension from both the body and the mind.
Senior Strength and Stretch
A perfect opportunity to work at your own pace maintaining bone density, increasing endurance, and improving flexibility. All levels of fitness are welcome. This class consists of 40 minutes of strengthening and 20 minutes of stretch.
Pilates Mat Class
Pilates is an exercise discipline that introduces the student to the power of core. It focuses on improving flexibility and strength while incorporating breathwork to balance the body. Pilates builds strength from the inside-out.
Personal Fitness Training.
Whether you are beginning a new fitness program or ready for a change in your current program, a great way to get started and stay motivated is to hire a personal trainer.
Chavez Center trainers are skilled and certified professionals. They are available for anyone desiring individual program design, instruction or motivation. Our trainers have a wide range of knowledge and experience. They are devoted to helping you get the most out of every workout!
The display case in the Fitness Center houses the photos, biographies, rates, and phone numbers of the personal trainers on staff. Fee, scheduling, and cancellation policies will be established with the trainer.
All personal trainers of the Chavez Center are nationally certified and must pass strict hiring guidelines. NO OUTSIDE TRAINERS ALLOWED.

Pre-Registration Classes
Triathlon Training Class
FEE: $75
In June and July we will be hosting a six week training program for those preparing to participate in summer Traithlons. Whether you just want to cross train, explore the challenges of multisport, or race triathlon, this class will help you in your endeavors to reach your goals. It will meet the needs of students new to the sport as well as challenging and inspiring more experienced and seasoned triathletes. The objective is to work at and improve on swim, bike and run techniques required to succeed in triathlon. Subjects covered will also include transitions, nutrition, strength training, injury prevention, equipment maintenance and race day strategy.

Little Bouncers
Fee $45
This class is designed for chidren ages 3 - 5. Using toys and props like balls, blocks and the Bosu, children will participate in games, relays, and obstacle courses. They will be encouraged to use their imagination, begin to understand the idea of teamwork and develop body awareness and coordination. Parents are encouraged to participate but if your child is comfortable being left alone, parents may leave their children for the length of the class.

Aerobics Room
Movement Class for Cancer Survivors
Fee $35
This class will be a combination of Kripalu Yoga and Strength Training designed for men and women to help minimize the side effects of cancer treatment, reverse postural and range of motion issues that arise from surgery and reconstruction, and focus on awareness and prevention of lymphodema. The class will incorporate yogic breathing, postures and meditation as well as use of fitballs, tubing and other exercise accessories to build strength, balance and flexibility. All fitness levels are welcome.
